Can God Use me?

Thank you for visiting Metro Women's Center's volunteer page. There are a number of ways you can become involved in helping individuals who are expereincing unplanned pregnancies. You might be thinking, "I wouldn't know what to say or do to help a person in crisis". As a way to equip you, MWC provides volunteer training at different times throughout the year. • Prayer is the number one thing you can do to support the Metro Women's Center. If you would like to become part of our e mail prayer team send your e mail address and contact information to info@metrowomenscenter.org and we will add you to our e mail distribution list.
• Become a Mentor Mom or Mentor Dad to a single parent.
• Consider opening your home to a pregnant woman as a Support Home for a pregnant women over the age of 18 who is in need of housing during her pregnancy and for 4-6 weeks after her baby's birth. Click on the Support home page for more information
• MWC is in need of people who know how to write grants to raise funds for the center.
• Contact your local school, public or private, and request that a representative of MWC be able to come into the school and give an abstinence presentation or a presentation on the adoption option to students.
• Become an office volunteer, meeting and greeting clients directly.
• Organize a "Baby Bottle" fund drive by contacting MWC for a supply of baby bottles to distribute to your church or group of friends. Individuals fill the bottles with funds over a set period of time and the funds are then used to support the ministry. This can be a fun project for teens, AWANA kids, or Sunday school classes of all ages.
